The CITB’s Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course is recognised as the premier course for site supervisors and foremen who work in the construction sector. This two-day course is also ideal for owners of construction-related companies who act in a supervisory and want to do so in a legal and safe manner.
As a supervisor or foreman of a civil engineering or construction site, the law makes you responsible for the health and safety of all the individuals you are supervising. The main objective of the course is to ensure that you understand the limit of your legal responsibilities in this important area.
The SSSTS course is delivered over two days and empowers supervisors & foreman to promote a robust Health & Safety culture by developing candidates communication skills that allows them to deliver highly effective tool box talk training sessions and method/risk assessment briefings.
To be eligible for this course you must have a good understanding of written and spoken English as large parts of the course depend on the interaction of delegates in order that anecdotal situations can be discussed and best practice shared.
The SSSTS course is accredited and administered by CSkills (CITB) and on passing the course you will be awarded the SSSTS certificate which is valid for five years. The certificate application process will be handled by us.
If your company pays levy to the CITB they are able to claim a grant of a minimum of £100.00 towards the cost of the course and we can manage the grant application process for you.
Our SSSTS tutors are former site managers and are therefore able to relate and empathise with situations that you have experience of and able to make the course relevant to today’s modern methods of construction.
